Scientific Council
Scientific Council is a higher management body of the Academy and operates under the chairmanship of major general B.H. Salayev, chief (chairman) of the Academy. Scientific Council consists of the chief (chairman) of the Academy, deputy chief, scientific secretary, chief and heads of the faculty and chairs.
Activities of the Scientific Council:
Scientific Council operates on the basis of action plan developed and approved for the academic year and each semester. Scientific Council's work plan is discussed and adopted at the meeting. It discusses and approves Charter of the academy, and resolutions of all stuructual divisions, if necessary, makes changes and additions to them. Scientific Board makes deicisons by open voting with a simple majority and decisions related to awarding a professor and associate professor academic titles are made by a secret ballot in prescribed manner. A Scientific Council has commissions on education and science, socio-economic, economic activities and monitoring the implementation of decisions of the Scientific Council. Scientific Council adopts the strategic development plan, controls its implementation and all directions of activity. It also discusses inspections of the existing commissions, reports of heads of bodies. At the beginning of each year, Scientific Council hears the rector's report on the 1-year activity and determines the 1-year activity plan for the academy.
