The division of teaching loads of the subjects is organized according to the presentation.
The staff of the department successfully participated in the professional development courses organized by the International Civil Defense Organization every year. The senior teacher of the department Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Bayramov, Captain Ulvi Sadiq-zadeh and Captain Hajiali Mikaylov were awarded with certificates.
Also, on February 06-08, 2024, Senior Lieutenant Ruslan Azizov, an employee of the Department, actively participated in the "Русский лед-2024" International Scientific and Practical Conference held .
In different years, 100 scientific articles were published by the staff of the department.
Thus, 8 articles by professor Ahmad Afandi (Thomson Reuters, Scopus international journals), 30 articles by senior teacher Captain Ulvi Sadiq-zadeh were published abroad.
Also, subject programs and textbooks for the subjects taught in the department are prepared and periodically updated.
Employees of the department successfully represent the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in various World, European and International competitions.
Since the establishment of the Academy, the head of the department, Ahmad Afandi, has been a 2-time World Champion and a 5-time European Champion.
The senior teacher of the department, Captain Ulvi Sadıq-zadeh, was the European World Champion in Kempo in different years.
The teacher of the department, Nabiyev Elmir, is the 2nd prize winner of the tournament of the international professional league in Jiu-jitsu.
Every year, employees of the department and cadets of the Academy are champions and prize-worthy in the championships of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in multisport, chess, wrestling, football, pentathlon and other sports.
Traditionally, the team of the Academy performed successfully in the football, chess and wrestling competitions among employees and cadets of the special-purpose higher educational institution dedicated to the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and won the 1st and 2nd place.
Every year, in order to increase the efficiency of cadets' free time, competitions are held in 5 sports dedicated to the New Year holiday, Novruz holiday, memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, Victory Day. At the end of the event, winners are awarded with medals and diplomas.
According to the instructions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Academy’s cadet team for the sport of "Fire Rescue" participates in training in the 18th fire station twice a week.
It should be noted that the Academy's team successfully performed in the Baku garrison competition held on “Fire Rescue” sport.
In the department, work is being carried out on the topic of "Development and research of modern methods of teaching specific sports in special purpose higher schools" planned by the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences for the years 2014-2019, 2019-2024.
In 2023-2024, with the help of the department, the employee of the Academy, Lieutenant Farzaliyev Orkhan Namig oglu, became the owner of the Euroasia cup in powerlifting and the winner of the European championship held in Finland.
